Dr Shattles is a very good doctor, he is very knowledgeable, he listens and was able to suggest helpful therapies. He straight out told me that the medication others had previously suggested would not really do very much and that the main reason for my aches and pains was hypermobility, which I could manage in better ways. He explains things in a way that is accessible and I remember what he's said after a consultation, as I have a tendency to have white coat syndrome and forget everything said. I have arthritis, hypermobility and several other conditions and am a busy mum, but the suggestions for keeping my health tip top were easy to fit into my lifestyle. He also approved of several of my self care methods - Vitamins, diet, exercise choices and told me to keep them up. I feel my conditions are well looked after under this doctor.
