I was referred to Mr Venkataramanan by my equally uninterested endocronologist Dr S Wong. My condition made me quite anxious already but having been seen by this man I made the decision to go private for an operation I need. Despite seeing that I was clearly upset and worried, he did not offer any reassurance that he was the best person to operate on me. When asked how often he performed 'parathyroidectomies' he simply said that he was the only one in the area. I felt like I was just another number, in and out, not listened to and certainly came away from there feeling worse than when I went in. If you read this Mr Venkataramanan please please take on board the comments and learn how to listen to your patients and make them feel at ease. It's something they obviously dIdn't teach at medical school

This consultant could do with a few lessons in how to treat and speak to patients and to arrive on time for appointments. He was 20 minutes late, strolled in with a takeaway coffee and yes he might have other work to do but this is how clinics run behind so much. I felt he was totally disinterested in my consultation which considering I was referred on a 2 week urgent referral and I was extremely nervous it was not a nice experience seeing him. It seemed far too much effort to speak to me or answer my questions that I had to push to get answers for. I dread to think how he would deal with seriously ill patients hopefully better than he was with me. One final point Dr. Srinivasan, smarten yourself up you looked extremely unkempt!
