This Doctor is a shining example of the NHS at its very best. I have had reason to contact him on occasion in relation to treatment of a relative with dementia, he always responds and does so very quickly, he is polite, professional, caring and an excellent clinician.
He takes great pains during consultations to put patients and relatives at their ease so that he can gently mine the information that he needs. He is proactive in phoning up patients, relatives and will make domiciliary visits if appropriate. His approach is as far as it is possible to imagine from the pompous and incompetent Consultants of yesteryear.
If it was possible to bottle essence of Chan and infuse this into other medics we'd have a model health service!
