Dr Karunakaran introduced himself when I arrived and explained what the procedure involved and approximately how long it should take. I chose not to have sedation and avoided the gas and air so Dr Karunakaran was able to explain each step he was taking, whether any thing had been identified and whether I would feel any discomfort.
At the end, I was informed of how the procedure went, was given a summary report and advised next steps with likely timescale. Patient care was excellent the whole time.
