For very many years I have been grateful to receive the care of this extremely kind and encouraging doctor who has patiently explained every step in his recommendations for the control of my diabetes type 2 and encouraged my proactive involvement in my condition. He has been at pains to explain the potential interaction of other medications I have been prescribed.
The only way in which I believe his care could be improved would be for him to be able to make face-to-face consultations with his patients - which is impossible unless a patient is actually admitted for inpatient care. Under the current ruling, inexplicably the endocrinologists are unable to arrange anything other than telephone or 'virtual' consultations. I am hopeful that this can be reviewed urgently in the near future and revert to face-to-face consultations which worked far more effectively for patients in the pre-Covid-19 era.
