We had Dr Fang review our baby at the Portland. We are not doctors, so her communication with us was not clear. She just dropped ranges and numbers to us saying this is high and this is low, without explaining what it meant. In addition to this, our baby has high white blood cell count and therefore was put on antibiotics. She came around to tell us the possibilities of the high wbc, but as a first time parent, her approach was very scary, telling us about having a spinal rupture for the baby for tests, and this is the first time we have spoken to her, and without eliminating other causes, talking to a new parent about invasive approaches is scary. Whilst she may be a good paed, we didn't find her communication great and to be honest had to do a lot of self reading to understand what she was talking about. We had a follow on appt for a vaccination and she also didn't take us on our appt timely. Her previous patient arrived late, and we ended up having to wait!
