Delivered our son at the Portland, water birth. All fine and our consultant left thinking we would be discharged soon after. DR fang did her rounds and said our son had swallowed water/looked floppy and he needed to go to NICU. We were scared so said yes...Dr Fang was very unemotional and didn't care. When I called our consultant he advised to move our son to Great Ormon Street. When I relayed to Dr Fang she said "yeah your son doesn't need NICU anymore and can be discharged!!) My experience is Dr Fang just wanted us to spend more time and money at Portland and didn't care about us. A terrible Dr and shouldn't be near new parents.

An extremely kind, patient and caring doctor who went above and beyond for me and my daughter. She makes you feel at ease and answers any questions, giving you all the time you need. She is gentle and reassuring with your baby.

Hi. I have see Dr S. Fang on various occasions for my two childs. She is the one that spotted what the others had not found when my daughter was ill. She always take the time to dona thorough assessment. That's why we come back to her, even after having seen other doctors (while she was away for e.g.). Thanks

We had Dr Fang review our baby at the Portland. We are not doctors, so her communication with us was not clear. She just dropped ranges and numbers to us saying this is high and this is low, without explaining what it meant. In addition to this, our baby has high white blood cell count and therefore was put on antibiotics. She came around to tell us the possibilities of the high wbc, but as a first time parent, her approach was very scary, telling us about having a spinal rupture for the baby for tests, and this is the first time we have spoken to her, and without eliminating other causes, talking to a new parent about invasive approaches is scary. Whilst she may be a good paed, we didn't find her communication great and to be honest had to do a lot of self reading to understand what she was talking about. We had a follow on appt for a vaccination and she also didn't take us on our appt timely. Her previous patient arrived late, and we ended up having to wait!
