Dr Susan Beards is a fantastic anaesthetist, very gentle and very calm, hence has a very calming effect in a traumatic situation, which is exactly what is needed, listens carefully to concerns and decides the best options for you with you, she even visited me after my op, to personally make sure I was as pain free as possible, after several operations, I have never had that before.
Even though I usually have problems with small veins and cannulas, there were no problems at all, I didn't even noticed some were there, I now know what its like to have an anaesthetist who cares and really knows what they are doing and does it well.
Anaesthetists are always overlooked, but do such an important job, if you are lucky enough to be in the care of this lady, you are in very good hands.
