I was diagnosed and received urgent surgery at The Walton Centre , Liverpool in Sept 2011. After being discharged with failed back surgery syndrome, I was referred to The Pain Management Team at Ysbyty Gwynedd where I met Mr Mano for my initial assessment. Immediately, I was made to feel at ease, and the attention and care given was outstanding. Over the following two and a half years Where I received facet and cauda epidural injections, Not once did I ever feel disatisfied in any way and his attention to detail is second to none. My main reason for writing this review is the following passage. Approx 3 months after the latest set of injections, I received a follow up phone call from Mr Mano and this was at 8.00 at night. It was to see how things had developed and was there any progress with managing the Pain. When I explained that I had moved to live in Melton Mowbray, it was apparent that I would not see him again and thanked him for all he had done for me through his Pain Magement Programme in North Wales. Without hesitation, he asked how far I was from Leicester and when I said it was only a half hour trip, he said one of his colleagues had recently left his team and had taken up a position with the pain management team at Leicester Royal Infirmary. He offered immediately that he would contact my new doctor and his ex colleague at LRI to discuss my health history and to also forward his notes and that he would be available at any time should they need his advice. This just goes to prove how genuine Mr Mano is and I will quote my own Doctor's words to me, " you must have been a popular patient as I have never come accross this before. A really nice gesture " i think this concludes my review and my last comment is that I doubt if will ever come accross such a fine gentleman again.
