Dr Simon Downer is unresponsive in person and email. He is unable to answer any question with an answer that is related to the question asked. He comes across as knowing very little about different psychological conditions. He mis-diagnosed me twice. I had to work out the conditions I had myself and present them to him to get the correct diagnosis. He has not answered my question on whether I should try medication in over 5 months and is currently ignoring me. He could improve his care by working on his knowledge on neurodiverse conditions, admitting when he does not know the answer to questions and offering to find out. He could reply to emails and phone calls. He could work on his empathy skills. He could ask for feedback from patients and learn from his mistakes. He could act like he cares about his patients.

This Dr made me feel awkward, and basically sat there saying nothing and offered zero hope or any kind of therapeutic advice. I left feeling judged and empty and even more hopeless than ever.

The Dr did not ask me questions about my mental health and my issues. He did not inform me of why things were happening the way they were.
