I was referred by the NHS to Mr Shibu Krishnan. I visited him at the BMI Chiltern hospital; he examined me, fully and concisely explained the operation, the risks etc, and then, having asked me if I wanted to proceed, got out his diary and a date was agreed there and then. I had not expected to come out of my appointment with a date and was very impressed by his professionalism, care and efficiency (he had even dictated notes about our meeting before I left the room). On the day of the operation he came to see me and reassure me and I was given excellent care by him and his team during my three night stay. (The food was great too!) Mr Krishnan popped in to see me the day after the operation and told me that it had gone very well. I was surprised at how small the scar was – only three inches long – and am pleased at how well it is healing. Such skill! My post-operative care has also been excellent with two hydrotherapy sessions and two physio sessions. After five weeks I was walking a couple of miles a day unaided. I have now seen Mr Krishan for my post op appointment and, once again, was struck by his efficiency and diligence. It looks as though I am going to have to have my left hip replaced at some point and I sincerely hope it will be Mr Krishnan who does it. I am extremely grateful to him, and everyone at the Chiltern. They were all amazing. I can't think of any suggestions for improvement. Everything was excellent. Thank you.
