My GP referred me to Dr Edmonds because she suspected I had GCA (Giant Cell Arteritis). From the outset Dr Edmonds gave me every confidence; she patiently listened whilst I described signs and symptoms before carrying out the appropriate tests. Having concluded my condition was more likely than not to be GCA, she arranged for an immediate ultra-sound scan to confirm her belief. The ultra-sound confirmed the diagnosis of GCA.
I was immediately prescribed relevant medication and further consultations were diarised. Within 48 hrs the crippling headaches had gone and have not returned.
I cannot thank Dr Edmonds enough for the manner in which she has dealt with me and my condition.
