I appreciated the time, care and attention he gave to my predicament and the full explanations he provided me with.
It was refreshing to be addressed as if I was capable of understanding what he said, and taking the technical details on board, rather than (as an older person) being treated as if I was half senile, or certainly lacking in intelligence.
I left feeling confident that he understood my condition and that he had given me effective and appropriate advice. Many GPs in non-hospital practices could learn from his approach. JH
