From first consultation and right through the treatment process (LDR prostate brachytherapy in my case) Dr Alonzi exudes an aura of experience and expertise, immediately instilling confidence at a time when many must surely be feeling very vulnerable and insecure.
Undoubted skill, efficiency and expertise aside, I give 4* rather than 5* here as Dr Alonzi's "bedside manner" can perhaps come across as a little matter of fact, a tad detached, and maybe not as overtly empathetic as some might wish. In my case the news was mercifully encouraging and the prognosis very positive, but I'm not sure how recipients of bad news might feel. However this is a very personal perspective and obviously we all vary in this regard.
So I would very heartily recommend Dr Alonzi, but would perhaps caution those who might feel the need for metaphorical hand holding and demonstrable empathy.
