From first consultation and right through the treatment process (LDR prostate brachytherapy in my case) Dr Alonzi exudes an aura of experience and expertise, immediately instilling confidence at a time when many must surely be feeling very vulnerable and insecure. Undoubted skill, efficiency and expertise aside, I give 4* rather than 5* here as Dr Alonzi's "bedside manner" can perhaps come across as a little matter of fact, a tad detached, and maybe not as overtly empathetic as some might wish. In my case the news was mercifully encouraging and the prognosis very positive, but I'm not sure how recipients of bad news might feel. However this is a very personal perspective and obviously we all vary in this regard. So I would very heartily recommend Dr Alonzi, but would perhaps caution those who might feel the need for metaphorical hand holding and demonstrable empathy.

I was extremely happy with the service and care of Genesis Care. I found it very difficult to contact Dr Alonzi or his Secretary and could not get timely advice when I needed it. During the 6 months since my diagnosis he has not made contact with me once nor has he not made contact in the 2 weeks after I completed my Radiotherapy. I have not been offered any advice or guidance on the side effects of Radiotherapy and have had to rely on Nurses, my GP and a WhatsApp network to get advice. I have now made the decision to change Oncolgist
