He diagnosed me as having ADHD as an adult having been managing without diagnosis for years. He gave me a great assessment, was very respectful and a thorough process. Following this he has given me the best support and has given be a great shared care agreement with my GP to allow my medications to be sorted on the NHS and closer to home. Given the shortage of ADHD medication he has arranged plans around this as well. Would and have recommended him to others who are looking for an assessment.

All of us are different. We all have our quirks and then some of us have struggled mentally for various reasons throughout our lives. In my days as a youngster any child who showed different behaviour was classed as a "Dunce". Irrespective of the fact my own Maths teacher in the 3rd year of High School used to ask me how the hell I was able to calculate values using methods within my own mind. Today, aged 60 I work it IT and my answer to my maths teacher today would be that my mind used inbuilt algorithms to get results. I still have that ability but I havent been able to access it like I did with my young mind and before I spend years poisoning myself with drink. My wife has worked with special needs all her life. She noticed from day one that I had certain conditions but she easily accepted me and only ever spoke about what she saw in me when I would question myself. Now when in my late fifties there was no way the NHS were going to evaluate me within my lifetime. I spoke to my local Doctor asking for support and he found Rob Baskind for me. We had discussions, questionaires and evaluations. To be honest the results were not a surprise to me but what really counted was basically the confirmation in my mind why I was so different throughout my life. Not everybody want's a label but I can now I have my ADHD Diagnosis I can hold myself up and fully understand why my whole life had been so erratic. Life will always be a challenge +1 however not many people have the opportunity to feel refreshed after a life of confusion and self hate. Rob, a massive thank you. I started going on a rant here. I wonder if I will ever get my book written. Here I go again :-)

Sincerely the best I've had the fortune to see. Compared to what I've read, heard and even experienced with other services - Rob is exceptionally well informed, understanding and treats you with a sense of genuine care. If you're considering getting checked for ADHD or are wondering about his coaching, you'll be sincerely grateful for his insight. In short, the impact he's had on my life can't be understated. Seeing the difference when he wasn't available to me because I moved elsewhere made me appreciate this all the more and that's why I'm so pleased to see him again after almost a decade.

Dr Baskind is a great psychiatrist who also is a great advocate for his patients. Always seen quickly with prompt communication to my GP.
