I have received care from Dr Van Mellearts on two occasions, both of which were overwhelmingly positive for me. On the first occasion I was in very early pregnancy and (having suffered several unsuccessful pregnancies) was looking for reassurance regarding the treatment of a thyroid issue I have. I came away feeling calmer and assured that the right steps were being taken. His approach was very personal and understanding. On the second occasion I took my young daughter with a very mild issue, but something I felt needed to be checked. I found his approach thorough and sincere. He did not patronise us or make me feel like we were wasting his time, which I have experienced in the past in a similar situation. Based on my personal experience, and expectations of a GP, I would highly recommend him. Thanks for doing a good job.

Rather arrogant with no bedside manner. Not really listening to me once he'd had his say.

I recently went to see Dr Richard Van Mellaerts. He was extremely unfriendly and actually quite cold. When i said hello did not respond. Also was very stern and arrogant when diagnosing me. Seemed quite knowledgable and gave advice, could do with customer service training and improve his doctor manners.
