Not a great response. I contacted Dr Shaffer after seeing his details on British Dupuytren Society intranet page. He called me to discuss my condition was very reassuring. I sent him pictures of my hands which he looked at and gave his opinion. However, I was still anxious about my condition and went to see him in London. I found Dr Shaffer to be very clear in what he was telling me and very knowledgeable. Dr Shaffer is a very engaging and approachable doctor. He reassured me that I was too early for treatment and if or when I need treatment he was there for me. He armed me with the knowledge on how to do the finger test to check for progression. I am very pleased that I found Dr Shaffer and if I need treatment in the future in he will be my first point of call.
