Written by a patient at King's College Hospital
8th July 2016

The Clinic was running late due to an immense number of patients that had to be seen, including the previous patient with an urgent last minute consultation who was notified about their appointment by telephone the evening before. This was not a problem for me, and when I saw Dr Benjamin he explained why things were hectic in the clinic. He was calm, interested in what I had to say (this being my first appointment) and explained the treatment I could expect to receive. This was extremely clear and concise, and I was completely reassured by his explanations. He answered all my questions fully, and at the end of the appointment I felt at ease with what is, after all, an extremely difficult time for me. I left the clinic feeling relaxed and optimistic about the next stage in my treatment for multiple myeloma.
