Huge thanks to Dr Vidya. Despite being a doctor myself, I was given such reassurance by Dr Vidya, a thorough and knowledgable specialist in her field. I was put at ease immediately and given the reassurances I needed going forwards, much appreciated!

Excellent manner throughout, informative whilst being supportive and considerate, therefore developing a trusting relationship prior to the surgery, which went exactly as described.

Person centred care is at the heart of the NHS; and Ms Vidya delivers this at each and every consultation. I was devastated to receive my diagnosis at 36, but Ms Vidya was there with both compassion, and confidence. She gave me the clear facts, supported by the most up to date evidence, which put me immediately at ease. Following the first consultation I had with her, I was clear in my treatment plan, and absolutely confident in the team overall. I think part of what makes her unique is that despite how busy I know her clinic must have been, each time she took the time to understand me as a person, and I cannot thank her enough for that. In doing this, it enabled her to talk to me in language I understood, and make me feel like a person, rather than just another cancer statistic. I will always remember the consultation where she clearly told me she would “take good care of me”. No one can promise anyone that they will make everything completely better, but Ms Vidya gave the right amount of confidence to make me (and I am absolutely sure many, many others) feel I had a chance, a chance at life again. I will forever be grateful to what her and her team have done for me. She is a truly exceptional clinician, and for all those that follow me; I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you.

I have been totally overwhelmed by the amazing care I have received throughout my cancer treatment. From the initial investigation to today, when I was told by Dr Vidya and her lovely team that they had managed to get it all out. The over whelming relief is something I can’t describe and will be ever grateful. Every NHS professional I have met has been amazing, kind and caring. I really don’t think there is any improvement that would have made my journey any easier.

I was diagnosed with DCIS in April 2024, after a routine mammogram I was told I needed a full mastectomy and I could have reconstruction at the same time I was referred to Miss Vidya at new cross hospital on May 16th where I met her and her team for a thorough consultation then told I could have the operation on Wednesday 22nd May. From the start to the end and until I was given the all clear Miss Vidya and all of her team were excellent all follow up appointments were on time with Miss Vidya and her understudy Hameed, I received care great also from all of the cancer nurses that were always on hand to answer any questions and to give reassurance. Thank you all.
