It's not that Dr Singh is not a good psychiatrist. he is! He does listen and he he is always friendly and polite. The problem is that he probably has too many patients and is let down by his team!
I have tried many times to contact Dr Singh for my husband and all you get when you ring the secretary is an answer machine. Despite leaving messages I never get return calls and it is incredibly frustrating and disheartening.
As for frequency of appointments : I don't feel personally that my husband is seen enough and when he had a psychiatrist in a different area he was seen at least once a month. It seems that Dr Singh does not operate that way.
However, when my husband has seen him he has been top notch and I have no complaints about his ability to do his job.
Ty Derbyn itself just does not run smoothly. The lack of staff, the poor reception area staff does not help either! It just feels that cuts or lack of resources are lowering the standard of care that mental health patients receive these days.
