Dr Das carefully explained to me the risks and benefits of a general anaesthetic versus those of a spinal block, and in a non-leading manner. The information resulted in me changing my already made decision to have a general, and to elect instead for a spinal block. Dr Das gave me reassurance from beginning to end and visited me post-op to provide further reassurance and answer my questions.
