Dr Peter Spurrier is ideally suited as a doctor working in general practice. He has a warm and helpful manner that naturally inspires confidence. Whatever problems you bring to him he projects a sympathetic interest in your concern. He listens carefully and his questions are gently phrased. He takes the time to make sure that you understand what he has to say to you and he also makes sure that you understand clearly the advice he is giving you. In Maywood Surgery he has brought together an excellent team of doctors and other support staff including paramedics and practice nurses. He is an excellent leader and in all areas of work within the practice there is clear evidence of team work and professional knowledge coupled with a commitment to providing a high quality of professional care and service. At the same time Peter Spurrier leads the surgery to take full advantage of the wide range of professional NHS organisations and services available to Maywood patients.

A first class dotor

I have several ongoing conditions and have received great care and advice from Dr Spurrier and his team. The triage system has made contact with clinicians easy, and helped allay fears and receive advice quickly. Sometimes the appt system is a little difficult to get appts with the Dr of choice but I have never failed to get an appt with a Doctor when I needed one. The nurse practitioners are professional, sensitive, always follow up on treatment given.

A good doctor but lacking in people skills.
