I went to Dr Kirk for a second opinion during a difficult time when my elderly mother felt her previous doctor wasn't listening to her, which in itself was causing stress. Dr Kirk instantly put her at ease, thoroughly overhauled the medications that were adding to her discomfort, explained exactly what was happening with her heart in terms she could understand, and gave her a plan for the future. Timing was of the essence as she was about to have an operation, and Dr Kirk was mindful of getting her meds right ahead of this and her subsequent recuperation. At the same time, he also took care of my elderly father, who needed some tests organised and interpreted within a tight timeframe connected with another part of his care. Dr Kirk not only managed to do this in time, but he was also on hand to answer several queries, which I really appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Kirk: he is warm, friendly, practical and sensitive to his patients (my father has Alzheimer's). I would like to say a special thank you to his secretary, Sue, who went above and beyond behind the scenes, helping me at every stage to liaise with my parents' various doctors and sending over results and correspondence in good time.
