My daughter had been unwell for 18 months when we saw Dr Jackson . Our Gp and paediatrican advised that she she should see a rheumatologist. Our appointment last approx 15 minutes ( that’s being generous) He said ‘ on examination , there really isn’t much to note and certainly nothing worrying.’ At this stage she was bed ridden and could not attend school she had a lot of joint pain .
He also wrote,’ there is unlikely any rheum or immunological explanation.’ He advised psychology and work on sleep!
She now , after several dislocations and an immunological diagnosis has been referred to genetics , orthopaedics , cardiology and neurology . No need for psychology or sleep hygiene .
