We were very impressed with the care our son received from Dr Gallo. He had so much expertise about our child's condition - intraspinal lipoma (lypomeningocele) and he was always able to answer any questions we had about it. When unsure whether to go ahead with the operation he explained clearly the pros and cons of either option and after a lengthly discussion we were able to make up our minds. We felt very confident that he could offer our son the best of care and was the best person to carry out his operation. His past record of successful operations was very reassuring and it also helped greatly that he seemed so passionate about his job and the ability of the neuromonitoring team in ensuring a successful operation. We felt we could trust him 100% with our baby, despite knowing the dangers of the operation. The operation was a success and 99.9% of the fatty tissue was removed from our son's spinal cord which is the best result we could wish for. A tiny bit of it could not be touched because it was on the root of his spinal cord. We were so happy with the result and will be forever grateful to Dr Gallo for what he did.
