The care from this consultant is at the very top of patient expectancy. That I am a retired colleague may have some relevance in that in this day and age many doctors treat old colleagues as if they were no different from the average patient with practically no understanding of medicine and certainly not deserving of any special privileges. Dr Dempsey I am certain brings his high standards to bear on every patient but it is hugely reassuring to be treated by someone who recognises that I may have some insight into my own medical condition. Being a professional myself also allows me some insight into the level of communication, efficiency and reassurance that a colleague can give and Dr Dempsey passes all these tests with flying colours.
