I am so saddened to learn today that Dr Neil Mannis is no longer at the Murray Practice but has resigned. I can only assume that he was too deeply troubled by the restictions placed upon him that limited his ability to safely and compassionately care for all his patients. He is a truly good man. To my whole family he has been really kind, compassionate and a skilled physician. He always took longer to listen to my issues and as a result he was the only one who did not wrongly diagnose nor wrongly treat my presenting illnesses. He took time out of his own day (Saturday) to visit my mother when she was dying and shed a tear as he explained why he could not stay with her as she passed later that night. Such compassion made me feel safe and cared for, as it did my father, to whom he was so patient and kind as he stuggled with my Mothers loss and his dementia. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE with the NHS anymore. It has broken beyond the point of being trustworthy. It is all-to-easily turning a blind eye to the loss of its very best staff, and so to patient care and it NEVER goes on strike about that. Such a pity. I truly wish Dr Mannis the very best in whatever he has turned his hands to and wherever he may be. May God bless both him and his family with peace and purpose. Thank you so very very much.
