Was referred to Dr Sharma years ago and found it to be a stressfull experience from day one. With severe PTSD and Bipolar Disorder I was in desperate need of help and understanding. Was made to feel like a waste of time and space. When I confronted certain behaviours presented to me as unhelpful I was given the reasoning "that's an interpretation, very common thinking with your disorder". It was not an interpretation, I was irritated about a phrase he used. " dont come to me expecting a letter to explain if you hurt someone it just wont happen" I told him I had violent thoughts. About hurting myself?? Dreaded every appointment for years. No more "consultants" for me. "Do no harm"...... hahaha what a laugh. Best advice for a committed NHS psych.....move!
