Dr Neal Vaughan-Jones

Dr Vaughan Jones was our family GP from my teenage year’s until well into my forties. His knowledge, care, hard work, straightforwardness and warmth have made him the epitome of a great GP. When I was one of his first patients to present with hepatitis C, then a fairly newly discovered virus, he diagnosed me, thoroughly researched my treatment options and managed to get me onto a clinical trial for a treatment that wasn’t readily available at the time. This undoubtedly saved my life. He treated me as a human being rather than a collection of symptoms and explained everything clearly, without talking down to me. He also treated my parents’ geriatric infirmities with kindness and understanding. If you have him as your GP then you’re very lucky. You won’t find a better GP anywhere in the world.
