Before my first appointment with Dr Anthony I was efficiently sent detailed and helpful information regarding an overview of the practices assessment process, this was then confirmed and explained further in my first appointment so I had a clear expectation of what to expect in the appointments and the areas we would discuss. It’s fair to say I was apprehensive going into the first appointment, I was quickly put at ease by Dr Anthony, his kind, caring, understanding yet professional nature truly is a credit to the profession. My assessment was very thorough touching on all areas and time periods of my life, highlighting not only the struggles but also the positive attributes, we discussed the potential after effects of what we had discussed and re addressed these on the next appointments helping me to understand thoughts and feelings that I had during the diagnosis process, this helped me to process them and almost normalise them as a reaction. Following some negative media on adhd diagnosis in the private section, I could not have been more thankful to Dr Anthony on having such an in-depth process both before and during diagnosis and before medication. Dr Anthony talked through the options with me at each stage, with the assessment being through my private health care insurance that didn’t cover treatment I found it comforting that both nhs and private options were discussed for treatment. The pricing for any of Dr Anthony’s services were always clearly defined, i had no surprises. Teresa the practice secretary I found to be very helpful and efficient, quickly sending through fact sheets when needed and requesting required information so that the process could proceed at the planned times, I will admit that I struggle with patience and clarity on information which Teresa handled very professionally helping to make a difficult process a positive experience. I would not hesitate to give Dr Anthony and the practice the highest recommendation.
