Dr Martin White is an exceptional man at the very top of his game.
I could never have imagined surgery under local anaesthetic. It was a revelation to me that I remained calm throughout the procedure. Entirely due to the confidence and competence of a team inspired by greatness.
Our NHS has much to be enormously proud of and we must never loose sight of this basic fact.
