I was referred to a psychiatrist by a private GP after struggling to get the support I needed from my NHS GP. I chose Dr Slaney as a direct result of the feedback on this website. As this was my first experience of psychiatry I was a little apprehensive, but I needn't have been; Dr Slaney immediately put me at ease. He has a wonderful manner, is engaging, sympathetic and approaches situations with great humour, where appropriate. I felt validated and understood, we approaching decisions on my care together and I trusted his professional judgement implicitly. I have to admit I do miss our bimonthly Skype conversations now I am no longer under his care! It goes without saying, I would highly recommend Dr Slaney to anyone seeking a psychiatrist.
