On meeting Dr Procopio, I found him to br very pleasant and reassuring and listened to what I had to say. Unfortunately, on receiving his letter confirming my diagnosis of PTSD, Grief Reaction, GAD and a dependency on Diazepam, I was also stigmatised as having Personal Dependency Traits. This he based and cited was due to my psychologist who was present, which he stated our relationship as going from professional to friendship. ??? Firstly, it was actually my fully accredited counsellor, not a psychologist who was with me and secondly our relationship is strictly professional as client/counsellor. Yes, there is a degree of friendship, but with healthy boundaries in place. But I think Iit part of their job to become you're friend I as much as you trust them implicitly. He then went on to go over my history regarding my ex-wife No2 .... and the notes were nothing like what actually happened and I told him. This letter went to my GP ... so I'm labelled as having dependency traits, which is totally wrong. I wrote to Mr Procopio (letter sent via Millwood at Uckfield, questioning his assessment and putting right his wrongs, but have received no reply, despite asking for an acknowledgment. Maybe Millwood didn't pass it on. ?? Who knows. I would warn others to be very careful what you say, although, I don't recall saying anything to suggest I had Depencency traits. Sadly, I've just had a life of personal losses, including both parents, both with Dementia and within the last 18 months or so. I still live alone in my parents home, but am in the process of getting g thrown out by my sister and the solicitor dealing with the estate. Goodbye Partnership .? You've done me more harm than good after 5 gruelling mind twisting months.
