Amazing this was an experience of a lifetime. With some foreboding I was wheeled into the operating theatre to be met by a very reassuring Doctor Finlay and his excellent
medical team of four. The theatre was like a scene from Star Trek. I received my local anathasthetic. A curtain was dropped on the left side of my face so that I could not see
the the operation ( just as well I think !! ) With me not feeling a thing and without any sedation ( I was wide awake being able to look to my right ) Doctor Finlay carried out the operation with his excellent team. During the operation, dare I say it life got a little
tedious ( unimaginable when someone is knocking around with your heart ) but softened by one of the excellent nurses occasionally holding my hand....a really thoughtful touch. At the end of the procedure ( updated word for operation ) I
thanked Doctor Finlay and his super excellent for their superb work since when I have felt no pain and hardly notice I have a pacemaker at all, all truly amazing. It was just like thanking a waiter for his excellent service at a restaurant on leaving or a shop assistant for their help. Amazing, quite bizarre.
The after care was fantastic. I would like to thank Doctor Finlay and his team for a truly wonderful day and i can’t thank you all for the excellent experience and total care and commitment I received
I cant thank you enough and have informed others of what turned out to be an incredible and unforgettable day
My best wishes to you all
Kindest Regards
