I have been looked after by Dr McIlwaine for my ITP for over a year now and I can honestly say that she is the best doctor I have ever met (and there has been a few, including private ones!). I particularly appreciate the fact that she is a great listener and never makes me feel like her time is counted and I have to rush. She will take as long as it takes to answer questions and give honest and accurate answers. She is very caring and I always feel uplifted after seeing her.
