My sister had an appointment at Stobhill Hospital 2/9/20 to which l accompanied her. From the moment Dr McIlwaine greeted us in the waiting room, l felt very comfortable with her ( for my sisters sake). In the consultation she put my sister at great ease & gave her a chance to ask anything she wanted. Then she told my sister ( in a manner that we understood) the results of her tests. Her whole attitude was very natural & comforting. The consultation, although a serious result, was very much a comforting experience. I have been looked after by Dr McIlwaine for my ITP for over a year now and I can honestly say that she is the best doctor I have ever met (and there has been a few, including private ones!). I particularly appreciate the fact that she is a great listener and never makes me feel like her time is counted and I have to rush. She will take as long as it takes to answer questions and give honest and accurate answers. She is very caring and I always feel uplifted after seeing her.
