Treatment aside, my experience with Dr Ellis was beyond expectation. Psychiatry is a relatively under-looked field. I sadly expected with ignorance, something similar to other clinical fields of medicine, questions of symptoms, pains, current medications, etc.. psychiatry illness are beyond the scope of physical illnesses, affecting personality, behaviour, anxiety, self-esteem, confidence, relationships. Dr Ellis made me feel heard and comfortable over quite frankly an embarrassing illness. Questions in how it made ME feel, I was given insight into how it affected my life. I felt confident after my assessment and a little brave in pursuing treatment. She was very kind and encouraging. Contacting Dr Ellis for psychiatry consultation is one of the few best choices Ive made.
