Hi, I moved to Portsmouth 2.5 yrs ago with a known heart condition. I have got a Bicuspid valve and aortic aneurism so was assigned to Dr Guha as my condition is complicated. On meeting Dr Guha for the first time, I immediately knew he was the best cardiologist I had ever had looking after me. Dr Guha was so knowledgeable, I am a questioner and every one of my questions for him were answered. Dr Guha made me feel comfortable enough to ask for things to be explained in a way I could really understand (cardiac terminology baffles me). Dr Guha takes the time you need and throughly investigates any potential issues. Since being under Dr Guha he has discovered I also have electrical issues with my heart, Dr Guha has found a medicine that really helps to control the condition which has helped me so much. Even though not heart related Dr Guha has discovered that I have diabetes which now with thanks to his fully rounded approach to my health is under control, I am also very thankful for this. I am now at a stage where I need full open heart surgery to replace my failing valve and aneurism, Dr Guha has referred me to one of the most notable heart valve surgeons in the UK, again showing his care to provide me with the best possible treatment pathway. Dr Guha is approachable, knowledgeable, reassuring, investigative, he cares (always asking after my family), he never makes me feel rushed and is honestly the best cardiologist I have ever had the honour to meet, with Katie his secretary and the QA team by his side I feel blessed to have them in my life.
