I sympathise with GPs under this Tory mis-government but I've generally been left feeling short-changed on the rare occasion I've visited the health practice. However, this changed dramatically when I was seen by Dr Allison.
I missed a scheduled call and that would normally have been the end of it but Dr Allison tried me again until I picked up, and stayed late to see me. I felt she listened and asked questions with a genuine attempt to understand my issue. I've felt rushed out of the door before now but Dr Allison made time for me and genuinely cared.
For the first time I have received follow-up calls checking on my health with advise on lifestyle changes.
Dr Allison is simply a fantastic doctor and I feel confident my health is in the best hands. I just hope she stays at this practice.
