This doctor 'diagnosed' me over the telephone, rudely cutting me off as I was trying to describe my symptoms, doggedly insisting on her own train of thought. I thought if I kept records and documented everything, presenting this evidence to her would change her mind, make her listen to me. So I stayed with her. Unfortunately, nothing improved. What did not fit into her thinking she dismissed as 'that is not possible', implying I am a liar. My GP agreed with me. But this doctor arrogantly dismissed photographic evidence as 'impossible'. Never was there any curiosity as to what might be going on, or understanding that for the patient this might be worrying. Her 'bedside' (outpatient) manner was lamentable. At one point as I was talking she bluntly cut me off with 'is there anything else?' When I asked why she interrupted me she told me she had many very ill patients. Perhaps only very ill patients deserve to be listened to by this doctor, but even so. The Hippocratic oath says do no harm. She has left me feeling upset, dismissed and bullied.
