I originally filled out an electronic enquiry form via the surgery's web page but although I had an acknowledgement , no one from the surgery contacted me. I phoned about 7 days later and spoke to 1 of the receptionists who booked me a telephone consultation. If the surgery offers an electronic enquiry the service , it does need to be monitored. I had a telephone appointment with Dr McGilligan about a new health problem, at 9am. Eventhough this was via telephone he able to diagnose by problem. I wanted a referral to an orthopaedic consultant for an injection. However Dr McGilligan offered me an appointment for injection the same day so I was able to be treated within 8 hours of my initial appointment. He offered me advice and exercises to help my hip problem and I found him very helpful and easy to talk to.
