I was referred to Dr Jon Goulding at Good Hope Hospital Sutton Coldfield by my local practice for a worrying skin lesion that had appeared earlier as a result of sunbathing, or so I thought. As the lesion began to crust up at a very fast rate I consulted my local practice and was referred immediately. I was seen promptly by Dr Goulding who immediately identified the condition as a harmless seborrhoeic keratosis (a wort). He assured me that there was nothing to worry about and said that I could apply some Vaseline or have the lesion removed under local anaesthetic if I wished. Very soon afterwards the crust began to break up and with a little help, completely fell off. The pink area soon became paler and paler and now after about three months has disappeared completely. (hence the review at this time) I was struck by the efficiency, competency and friendliness with which I was treated at all points, by my own local practice which is always wonderful, but particularly by Dr Goulding at Good Hope. He seemed completely delighted to be able to deliver the good news immediately in a warm, personable and enthusiastic manner. Fantastic!
