Dr Firth has overseen my renal healthcare for most of the 26 years since my kidney transplant. He is very pleasant and easy to talk to and although I am aware that consultation time is limited he never makes me feel rushed. During this long period, I have developed a range of health conditions, some directly related to my transplant and some not. In all instances Dr Firth is always willing to discuss the details and offer his thoughts on the relative merits of different courses of action, regardless of whether or not there is a clear relevance to my kidney health. It is Dr Firth’s broad overview of me a whole patient that I particularly appreciate – something that I don’t see in other specialists, however caring they are.
