Dr. Shearman is an absolutely first class practitioner and an extremely nice man. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anybody. I have recently had a gastroscopy performed by him. Although not normally particularly apprehensive about medical procedures, I was very nervous indeed about this one. Dr. Shearman was fully aware of this and responded by offering alternative approaches (whilst being clear about their pros and cons) as well as explaining very clearly what was involved in the procedure I dreaded so much. After two consultations with him, two years apart, I had such a high degree of confidence in his expertise, humaneness and patient-centred approach, I decided to go ahead. I can honestly say that the procedure was no problem at all for me. Dr Shearman's team were excellent as well. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to benefit from such outstanding care.
