I don't think the service cab be improved.
What struck me was how after 10 minutes or so he starts to come across as very empathic.
Thats all I'm afraid.
Dr Camilleri took great care to get my full history and asked lots of questions. His advice was very clear and logically set out, so I could fully understand it.
PS re: the question below, I do not "identify as" a male; I am a normal biological male.
I found the doctor to be professional and thorough in his assessment of my symptoms.
After contacting spire Cardiff I had an appointment within a week with Dr Camilleri. Dr Camilleri was lovely he listened to me and I had a physical examination. Also a diagnosis.
I would recommend this doctor to anybody suffering joint pain etc ..
Very understanding and efficient! Such a difference to NHS experience, fed back to my GP/nhs consultant immediately and allowed for appropriate treatment of symptoms to be followed. Was honest and upfront about all fees and investigations in terms of diagnosis/treatment, really felt at ease with him and in good hands
Profile
I started training in rheumatology as a part of my general medical training at The Royal London Hospital and Newham General Hospital between 1987 and 1989. I was then appointed as Senior Registrar in rheumatology in Cardiff from 1989 to 1995. During this time I obtained a clinical fellowship for two years research into experimental treatments for inflammatory arthritis.
I was appointed Consultant Rheumatologist in 1995 and worked in the East Glamorgan and Llwynpia Hospitals before relocating to Cardiff and Vale Healthboard where I worked as a consultant for 22 years. I was the lead for paediatric rheumatology and saw paediatric patients from the whole of South Wales.
My training background includes diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sports related injuries and soft tissue rheumatism. My main special interest is in connective tissue diseases and paediatric rheumatology.
