Dr Holdaway was the dr I saw twice on this occasion but Dr Bennett and many others are amazing including Steve the paramedic and the nurses

I saw Dr Holdaway as part of the express clinic and it was the first time I had seen her. She started the consultation by telling me that she had read through my recent consultations (and therefore had a background as to why I was coming to see her) and this instantly put me at ease and made me feel like I was going to be listened to. She proceeded to listen to everything I had to say and did not dismiss any of my own conclusions. Instead she listened to each one and talked it through with me, agreeing as to how/why I had come to the conclusion but also making me see why maybe some of my conclusion were not accurate. She gave me advice as to what I could do to help myself but throughout made me aware that it was my decision. With each suggestion she also informed me of what to do if I didn't feel like I was seeing an improvement. When I asked as to what the next step would be if I did not see an improvement she was quite honest and said that unfortunately there is not a lot more she could do but to try what we had discussed first and if I saw no improvement then to come back. This made me feel as though I was being taken seriously and that she recognised that each patient is different and therefore it was down to me to find the right answer but she had given me all the information I needed to get there. She also made me feel that if I found no improvement then she would see what she could no and not just dismiss me. Overall her consultation technique put me at ease and made me feel as though she really cared. All of this took place at 5:40 in the evening probably at the end of a very long day for her. Thank you
