My session with Dr Assalman exceeded all expectations. At no point did I feel that his time was an issue. His approach, attitude to me and the manner in which he talked to me made me feel utterly comfortable and in the best possible hands. I felt completely up-lifted by the genuine care and diligence he exercised. His attention to detail not only made me feel that he was treating me as a complete individual regardless of any previous case histories, but also that he genuinely cared and was absolutely focused on addressing and solving what needed to be addressed. I am grateful and hugely appreciative of the time and care he exercised during our session and have no doubt of the positive and lasting impact it will have.

I just had ADHD assessment with Dr Assalman and I am very satisfied with the whole process. He was very detailed and apart from ADHD also suggested what other disorder I might be dealing with. He asked a lot of questions and listened carefully. I would definitely recommend him as a psychiatrist.

Doctor Iyas is such a great person, he listened to me carefully, he helped me and wrote me a letter for my school at the same-time of the consultation. I am so greateful for him in his diagnosis and treatment for my ADHD disorder. I strongly recommend anyone who suffers from any mental issues to book a session with Doctor Iyas.

I was assessed by Dr Iyas Assalman via Psychiatry UK and had an excellent experience with him. His questioning was incisive enough to rule out other possible conditions or causes of my symptoms, but still supportive. He treated my accounts with credibility. Having done some research into his credentials it was clear that he had significant expertise with adult ADHD patients (which was what I needed) and indeed he did. I wanted to talk to someone with specialist knowledge but I didn't know whether the assessment itself would be invalidating or emotionally difficult. It wasn't at all--he was kind and an excellent listener. My experience so far with Psychiatry UK is still ongoing because I have yet to meet with a titration nurse to discuss my medication (they organise the private prescription). However, my experience so far has been super efficient and straightfoward. I could be assessed within a week and the fees, while expensive, were comparatively very reasonable, I guess as a result of the service being online. If you are like me, and you are wondering whether a formal diagnosis is worth getting--honestly, just do it. The validation of a lifetime of unhelpful to damaging behaviours alone is worth the cost of admission and it is hard to imagine any treatment being as powerful as knowing that these things were not your fault.

As well as being very personable, Dr Assalman is clearly a very knowledgeable psychiatrist who cares a lot about his patients. It means a lot to see a doctor who goes out of their way to understand you as a patient and is willing work with you to figure out the best possible treatment plan. Highly Recommended.
