My husband is a cardiovascular/cardiothoracic patient with mechanical valve and after emergency dissection type A operation with still ongoing aorta enlargement. He have different mix of medication for his blood pressure as it is only way it works. Reviewed by Kings College Hospital. He had recently high blood pressure even if he takes his blood pressure medication. Called GP Surgery which already receptionist informed at 2.00pm all GP list is full I have to call following day to make an telephone appointment with him. My husband called following day and he got shifted to the Pharmacist.??!!! Now how can Pharmacist assess his case??? How safe it is in his medical conditions?? He didn't ask for paracetamol,,,,, now this time I called back / wife and advised again following day to fill a form online with ,,not satisfied with Pharmacist appointment,,. This would be the 3 day and my husband still have HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!!! no advise given just talking to the lovely receptionist lady who is already tired of my complaining.. Who have time and patience to deal with this on/off game when life is under the line. Obviously now if A&E will be contacted or his cardiothoracic team at Kings College Hospital again is not right because hi is outpatient. No wonder why Hospitals are over clouded!!! How safe is to leave cardiovascular patient with enlargement of aorta which is reviewed yearly with High blood pressure. I feel they neglected my husband.
