Cortisone injections into both elbows is not the most pleasant experience at the best of times, but Dr Al-Shakara explained everything that was going to happen and what I could expect to feel with sympathy and good humour. She was most reassuring and empathetic during the procedure and didn't at any stage make me feel as though I was making a fuss. Just what you want from a doctor in what is a very high stress situation for the patient. As is almost always the case, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be and I won't hesitate to go back to Dr Al-Shkarchi should I need a repeat procedure in the future.
